Default input from those with gauntlet type gloves

so far i've had nothing but bad luck with these types of gloves. i currently wear a size medium in my short type shift gloves and they've lasted me well for the past 3yrs. holes have worn into some of the fingers so now i have to replace them.

the first problems i had were with the dainese x-knuckles. i ordered them in a size medium and tried them on for fit. just a bit of slack at the finger tips but holy hell it was hard trying to get them on over my jacket sleeves. i could barely get the gloves to go over the cuff of my jacket. so the effect was that the slack became worse. my finger transitions from the grips to the brake/clutch levers were very awkward. i returned them shortly.

next i ordered a pair of Alpinestars GP Pro gloves also in medium. the slack in the fingers was better, but still.. i had an even harder time getting them to go over my jacket cuff. and the slack was worse still.

i could go and try on a smaller size, but i'm thinking that wouldn't make a difference because of the way gauntlets stop at a certain point in relation to your jacket cuff. is this just the design of gauntlets in general?

I like an oversized glove. I fit a medium but wear XL.

What kind of jacket are you wearing? My textile units have baggier sleeves than my leather jacket/suits.

PS: how was superbike school? I don't recall you posting a follow-up.

It was hot as hell, eh?

i wear motogp RPMs, my friend has the nitros. They're about the same as far as fitment goes. I love them. They pull right over my jacket cuffs without a fight and don't effect the finger tips while i ride.

i have gauntlet type gloves. they were uncomfortable before they were broken in. they pull over the jacket cuffs with minimal effort and it isn't all too bad.
