Anyone know where I can find a detailed description or perhaps diagram and definitely some specs on the audio systems for the 07 Si sedan?

I tried and am still trying to sort through the useless crap google has given me.

I'm asking because I'd like to know what's already in the car before I go replacing things.

 

350 watt 7 speaker system (including sub)
- 2 6 1/2" speakers in front door
- 2 tweeters in dash
- 2 6 1/2" speakers in rear deck
- 1 8" subwoofer

what else you lookin for?

 

Power output on the amp is my biggest concern. A wiring diagram would be awesome.

 

like what colors what wires are or what? i can get you any info you need.. just need to know exactly what you want

 

I want to know the power output rating (rms) of the amp.
I want to know where the wires are run in the car.

It is a safe bet that since the standard system is 160w and the "premium" system adds the sub, and is rated at 350w total, that the sub amp is 350-160=190w.

 

does the amp only power the sub? i thought it fed all the speakers. RMS is close to 190-200watts

 

The system is not powered by Clarion PowerIC, the outputs are all pre-amps coming from the HU.

 

Ya about that system, I had an Alpine amplifier with Alpine 12" subs installed into my 07 si (sedan with no nav); we disconnected the wire to the 8" sub to feed into the Alpine system instead. The beats are missing, I get bass between beats which sounds like rythmic moaning- kinda weird. The audio shop guys suspect that the car has a "secret" amplifier that was powering that 8" sub which is now going into the Alpine amp which may be the cause of this "overpowered" signal into the Alpine system which is resulting in this dilema.

Does the 07 si sedan have a "secret" amp beyond its factory deck?

I personally wonder if they just gave me a bad amplifier that is amplifying lower than normal bass frequencies.

Your help is much appreciated if you know anything about this!

 

less power in an amp will only make the sub weeker. theres an amp under the driver seat. thats what i was told. never checked though

 

There is an amp, should be mounted under the drivers seat in the sedan si's.
