Default more rubbing issues

I've got a 91 crx with h and r sports and tokico blues, not the best setup i know. But the car is not slammed. I had some 15x7 slips with +40 with azenis 205 50s on it, they rubbed real bad in the back, on the outside of tire to the fender.

I ended up getting a set of group n's 15x6.5 +35 with 195s in the rear and i'm still rubbing.

These wheels i wanna keep so i'd like to know what my options are ? Particularly, can i take these wheels somewhere and have the back side of them milled down like 5mm to reduce the offset?

When you say that you have 195's, are they 195/55-15 or 195/50-15? For a CRX, you should be using 195/50-15. Remember, rubbing problems are likely whenever you get a tire that is at least 20 mm wider than stock AND is larger in diameter than stock. 195/50-15 is the 15" size that's about the same diameter as your stock tires were.

The Azenis is a particularly bad choice, because not only are they 205/50-15 - which is too big for your car - but also they are bigger than other tires labeled with that size.

You shouldn't have any rubbing problems with 195/50-15 tires, as long as they're the proper offset. But if you've already got 195/50-15, then the problem is the wrong offset, and if it's rubbing on the outside, your best bet is to get different wheels. (If it's rubbing on the inside, you can use spacers to push the wheels/tires out away from the car; you may need extended lugs too.)

If you need a really high-performance tire in 195/50-15, consider the Goodyear F1 GS-D3.

Yea my new tires are 195 50 15s. I realized the azenis were such a big tire and with the 7" rim it was never gonna happen so thats why i got rid of those.

Wheels are rubbing on the outside cause of such a low offset +35. Is there anyway i can have them milled down to a say a 38 or 40?

Thanks for the tire recommendation, this car is turbo so it needs all the traction it can get

You can have the fender rolled.

This possibility was discussed recently in this topic.

Personally, I think you're probably better off selling the rims and finding others that are the right size and offset for your car, rather than going to excessive lengths to make something work when it doesn't, with each step risking creating more problems than you solve, etc. Just my opinion, of course.
