Changing Drivers Side Axle....w/pic for refererance

I didn't realize you weren't going to be able to read what i wrote so
1. On the first arrow, on the left, it says that i bent the ring when i was trying to pry it out of the transmission and now it just kinda flops around...is that going to be a problem when i reinstall it?
2. The second arrow on the right...is that where i pry the axle from the intermediate shaft? Is that where the new axle goes in?
3. the axles in the car now are from 92-95 del sol w/b16, am i going to have to use the same axles if i wanna use that intermediate shaft or can i use 99-00 si axles? I have the 00 si axles now, but when i put it next to the old on, its a little bit shorter
Car is 93 civic cx, motor is b16 (tranny is 00 si)
Thank you for any help

Alright, i see that I have to take the axle out from the intermediate shaft...now what i want to know is if i can use the 00 Civic Si axles? or do i have to use 92-95 del sol axles b/c thats what is in the car now? All help is greatly appreciated...thanks
Oh, and is it going to be a problem that i screwed up the ring on the end of the intermediate shaft that goes into the tranny? should i replace it? what do you think?

all b-series axles are the same. also the del sol only came with a b16 between 94-97. make sure you specify the right engine to the parts store when picking up the axle.
also if the ring on the intermediate shaft is messed up, then yes replace it. i'm not sure if they do sell just the ring, but if not, then just take it off of the old axle and throw it on there.

you stated that you have both the axle in the car and the new axle. first see if you can pick up a replacement ring, if not take it off of the old axle that is still in your car.

i have a new axle, but the intermediate shaft is still the old one...i didn't think i needed to replace that too...the ring that i am talking about is the ring that goes around the intermediate shaft right where it goes into the transmission.
Where could i get this part? i went down the honda, and as soon has the guy heard that it was a 00 si motor in a 93 civic, he had an attitude and was no help at all. he couldn't even tell me that he knew what i was talking about. I went to autozone, but they couldn't find it either.
Do you know what it is called, or a part number or some way i can identify it so i can order it?
thanks for the answers

yes i know exactly what part you are talking about. i thought you still had the old axles laying around. if so, you could of just pulled it of the axle and replaced it for the shaft one.
sometimes people at the dealership can be asses, i would have asked for some one else for assistance. but i got great news the part number for the ring is
44319-SOA-300.
take it to the dealer and tell them" get me this part bitch!" LOL, you'll see how fast they will work!
