Dumb noobie question, but what the hell is this part on the end of the rail called? I need to order one from Honda to get my damned MPFI swap running this week, or try to get one from a junkyard that stays open around here later than 5 - in either case they're going to want to know the part name / number.

I did check the blown up diagrams at Majestic and did not see that part itself, although that could just be blind oversight! Any help with this matter would be appreciated, I have searched extensively and turned up without anything.

I'm pretty sure that some flux-capacitor-esque part that can only be found at junkyards nowadays. There was a thread floating around here about it recently, I'll see if I can dig it up fer ya n00b .

what is its function though..

 

It keeps pulses from building up through the fuel system to keep a more constant stream of fuel getting to the injectors.

 

are the pulses caused by the injectors opening, or by the fuel pump?
