I hate cars from the north...
So I was working on putting on my lowering springs and my car is from Ohio. This means that there is alot of rusted up bolts that have never been turned sense the car was built I'm sure. I broke the head off of the bolt that connects the control arm to the strut. Anybody know of anything I can do to try to get this bolt out? Any help would be much appreciated.
i dont think the fact that the car is from ohio makes a difference. integras are just known for that bolt to break...its always a 50/50 chance with it...
well going through rough winters like we do here in Massachusetts doesnt help. it freezes, unfreezes, heats up cools down. sometimes all within the same day. cars from new england and places like it are worth less when getting sold and have higher insurance rates as well. but we sure love to drive like dicks
Well what I ended up doing was took the whole strut/control arm assembly off. My only problem is that the speed sensor for my abs runs through that bolt that was broken, so I can't pull the speed sensor through there. This is such a pain in my neck. Any suggestions on this new problem?

Well nevermind now guys, got it out of there. I used a screw driver and created a gab between the sensor and part of the sturt to slide it on through. Thanks for the help and advice for my little project guys. I now have the whole strut, spring, and control arm assembly out of the car and i'll take it up to a machine shop some time tomorrow.
I had the exact problem and researched it, if you want instead of taking it to a shop a lot of people on here just recomended cutting the bolt around the lower control arm so the strut can slide off, then take a torch and burn the bushing and bolt out of the l.c.a... this is good if your planning on replacing the strut to, if not you would have to drill the old bolt out of the strut. A lot of times the bolt will seize up inside of the bushing, thats what mine and a lot of others did. Whe you done just simply replace the bushing and run a new bolt through there. A shop might tell you it's going to be time consuming(aka $) id recomend trying it yourself if you have another car or dont need yours asap, goodluck
