Default Throw out bearing (Just confirming)

I have read all the threads about throw out bearings and i understand that they can wear and be replaced. They also warn you with certain sounds when they are about to go. My question is... Mine seized and eat the fingers on my stage 2 act clutch, my mechanic is blaming the ACT clutch for destroying the 5 month old Throw out bearing. I just say they put in a faulty bearing to begin with. Can a performance clutch cause the bearing to go bad?

I don't think so cause my old one ran with the ACT clutch for 2 years with now problem. What do you guys think?

Its possible, but unlikely.I bet ur mechanic tryed to cheap out on a generic throw out bearing, and tried to pass it off as oem.I have gone through about 6 clutches since I owned my lude(most dragging),and I have never had a problem w a honda oem throw out bearing.....except they always make noise.

When they make noise, are they bad? Is there anything you can do to stop the noise? Like stopqueal for breaks? Might be a dumb question...lol.

Yeah i think thats what they did, if i had time that weekend i would have done everything myself. From now on i'm deffinitely buy the parts before i let them put it in if i have to. The pretty much blamed it on the clutch so they won't have to eat the cost of the repair, cause it was the fault of a part they put in the car.

i had the car for 5 years before i had to change my OEM one and i only changed it when it started making odd sounds when i was press down the clutch.

The throwout bearings they send with the clutches suck, they use plastic where the OEM one uses metal.

The only way to reduce the noise is to lube the living hell out of it,but even then it only seems to last for a certain amout of time, well at least it my case. And Its not a loud noise,u can just hear it spinning while the clutch is not engaged, and then can hear it go away when the clutch pedal is depressed.(not sad but stepped on)

Yeah thats the one, the bearing that came with my kit was crap, i installed an OEM one when i put the Kit in 2 years ago.. i had no noise or anything until about 5 months ago.. then replaced it.. then that one crapped out on me. either way.. i had to dish out 654$ for new clutch and labor
