I have found a 98 Ferio Vi/RS in the US for sale. It seems to be the real deal-- I have never seen one and just wondering if you could get these in the states?? thanks

I think that might be a copy.

It's got dumbo ears and it's cluster reads in mph.

EDIT: Plus it looks like he's claiming it for an english car, and the UK is RHD.

NO.

There was no Vi-RS sold in the US, Canada or UK. It's a Japanese model only.

It's a copy, and honestly, a poor one at that. I feel bad because it seems the current owner (and at least one potential buyer on the eBay page) have both been tricked into thinking it's a real Vi-RS. The owner seems to think that the Vi-RS was sold as a limited model in the US though.

It's just a DX with a few badges and such. The Vi-RS was only available with power windows and rear disk brakes too.

Here's Honda's page announcing the Vi-RS in late 1998, which would be called a 1999 in the US.

The Vi-RS was only made for 1999 and up. It also came with a D15B 3-Stage VTEC and not the D16 that car has. The Vi-RS is also an EK3, where this DX sedan is an EJ6 like all other DXes in the US.

Take note of the rear lip, seats, inner door trim, thin side moldings (they don't stick out as far as the USDM ones do) and mirrors. Also take note of it being RHD and even having the antenna on the correct side for a RHD Civic
