I have a 98 civic cx with a y8 swap. yeasterday i replaced the master and slave clutch cyclinders. when i finished, the car wouldn't start or even crank over. @ first i thought it was the clutch switch, so i junped the started solinoid tot he battery. the motor cranked but wouldn't start.

Next i checked the fuel, nothing. SO i checked for power tot he pump, nothing. Not i know the main realy runs the ecu and the pump. I have yet to checkthat, no time. I highly doubt i fired the ECU, so i am asking for your guys opinion on what else to check.

i can't seen to think of what both peoblems have in common, since the starting systtem has nothing to do with the fuel and stuff. Also with the key in position 2, everything else in the car works.

So you can't hear the fuel pump prime? It sounds like what you said either the main relay. If that looks fine then check all your fuses. Actually I would check all the fuses first then the main relay. Could have just been a freak accident that it all happened at the same time you changed the M and SC.

 

yea, well when i turn the key, no power to the pump. I can hear the starter realy click on , but no 12V tot he starter. i will deal with this car in a few days, now i am dealing with the other civic and the junk motor, lol
