You can also do a fuel cut switch somewhere. Make sure no thief could figure out what the switch does.

Fuel Cut, alarm, removable wheel, taking the ecu with you when you leave the car, doing all those would make it pretty hard for someone to take your car.

and this

Now to protect a car is not cheap. Not everybody take the advice that is needed to get the job. But if you do you won't have to worry about it. I sleep well at nite so do all of my customers. But back to price. Its not cheap walk in the park. In all of my cars and family each car would be about $1400-1700 per car. But before you shyt your pants look whats done. A fully stealth install. All wires are ran in the factory harness. Gps tracking installed stealthly, it to with all the wires in the factory loom. back up battery.Back up battery siren. Dash pulled out the car to perform the install. Siren in the fenders, extra siren in the car. As many layers as possiable. club, foot lock. Now you don't have to go that far. But nowadays you really need to. A good alarm install will run you about 400-700 depending on whats added and make and model. Ask bmoua, He and his parents took my advice. Two days later his car survied a near theft. matter of fact it was the same car as yours. I had a near run in the other day. My pager went off and I got the phone call from the earliy warning system from the gps. I walked outside to see two youngster looking at my car smoking a cig. They panicked and tore azz after I gave them there two options. Try to take the car and get a azz wooping or leave and i won't let the salt pellets sting your azz. I bet there wondering how did he know. Well you can set your alarm up for diffrent configurations. I have a sleep mode that I set up when I want it to do this, that the sirens don't go off and the parking lights don't flash. I would steer clear of any circuit city installs. Not dissing you new future installers. But After there second reformatting of there stores and firing of all there great installers. Your now stuck with noobs that are just learning or don't really care. I do alot of dealer work and I fix alot of installs that they send to the dealer for S.I.L. Hey I get some best buys too every now and then. Its a shot in the dark with the big corparations. Plus they don't make any money on custom alarm installs. Its about volume. There are only a couple of shops out here that are willing to take on this task. speakerworks, competition soundwerks, and a few other besides myself. Now I know this thread is about to be bombarded by like 15 threads that say if they want it they will get it. By 10 o clock. Ask these people what kind of install do they have. Hows it installed. Most would not know a good install from the get go. And most are bandwagon riders. Don't have the cash to spend on new car alarm tech and diss it because they hear someone else diss it and it becomes a cycle. So do yourself and read the links. Me or suspended hatch would be glad to answer your questions

person a : he pay the most of the rent because he rent master bedroom
person b : his car is bmw 06
person c : his car is immaculate ford e350 2000 shuttle bus, and he doesn't have skill to park a car (this car big man, and u know parking on the street... thight)

man.... i love this car (my first dohc-vtec) and hate this car (make me can't sleep)

right know i park my car on my boss garage and every morning i have to take bus to his house and can go to my workplace... damn

dnt take ur ecu out every night. i've seen lots of peoples wiring and ecus get messed up due to the fact that they used to do that. best solution i can say is clutch lock steering lock alarm and fuel cut. if those aint enough for a thief to leave ur car alone. there plan is to steal it no matter wat u have done to prevent it.

Well, you never know until you ask. The one guy, is he just paying more for the larger room or is he paying more for the larger room and a gauranteed parking space?

How are you going to mess up your wiring by unplugging your ECU...?

I think if someone was going to steal one of those vehicles theyd go for the 06 bmw even if it is in a driveway. driveways and garages dont mean a lot.. weve had our garage broken into on several occasions. cars werent taken (no one wanted to try to steal the 76 mercury monarch or the 96 neon in it) but other stuff was (at least it was junk.. they stole about 20-30 boxes of old magazines and newspapers and out of date computer books).
talk to your neighbors and see if they have space? they may charge you a couple bucks for it if it makes you feel better. churches also may let you park your car in the lot. this goes for some small businesses as well. good luck!

I'd think out of the cars I know are in that driveway:

- 2000 Ford E350
- 2000 Honda Civic Si
- 2006 BMW (?)
- ???

The Si is most likely to be stolen.

i guess it depends on the area.. here id say the bmw. higher end cars go because of some of their warranties.. the person gets a new one or parts and then it gets hit again. hardly ever the whole car but stuff goes missing. hondas here dont ever get messed with much. certain nissans, chevys, and higher end cars are more prone to being hit. And then people just steal weird stuff here too. like nearly bald tires off a 93 nissan altima.. left the good tires, took the crap ones.
i do hope he finds a better place to park it though.

1.Install a Alarm with a Pager (Stealth Install Recommended ). Make sure you don't install the lil flashing light and turn off the chirps when arming & disarming. Install extra sensors like a tilt sensor and maybe even a broken glass sensor. Install hidden piezo sirens inside under the dash.

2. Install a Fuel & Starter Kill switches in places not so easy to find.

That's my current setup. luckily i have the blessing of parking my car in a garage which helps me sleep better @ night

The theft of more expensive cars in your area sounds less like theft and more like fraud.

Park near the curb in neutral with the wheels facing out towards the road. It'll be hard to to tow it because it'll turn.
