a ITR motor was for for N/A. Most people who boost usually go with b16's or gsr's...but hey having a jrsc is n't bad at all. I"ve drivin my uncles ITR and it pulls pretty nice with just a comptech CAI.

Most consider it blasphemy to do any forced induction setup on a Type-R... The engines are near perfect as is, they're a great all motor engine stock.

Honestly, JRSC is great, unless you're in a hot area... Your IATs will be so high, that you won't even see much power. I'd recommend looking into the LHT intercooler system, it's WELL worth the money for the lowered IATs, and huge increase in power.

PM 1fastvtecCL on here, he has a pretty nice supercharged Type-R.

Go LHT intercooler (or similar) or don't go JRSC, IMO. Without one you are going to run into too many problems.

I'm debating on what to do with my Type-R... It's either 11.5:1CR with JUN-IIIs and JUN valvetrain with supporting modifications, or a nice turbo setup on 6psi for the streets, 10psi for the track, or a nice LHT/JRSC setup on 8psi... For now I'm just enjoying the stock engine, I'm going to take care of getting the car looking really nice first, then I'll break down and do something to add some power.

Jordan, a nice solid all motor setup like JUN 3s and some higher compression is a very fun setup. I made around 210whp on Jun3s with CTR pistons and it was a blast. turbo setups can be a bit more of a headache if you dont take care of it and do it right, plus the greed factor of wanting a bit more boost is very tempting. so if you have an addictive personality you might want to avoid turbo

Call me crazy but the moment I drove my SC'd R I was hooked! I'll never go back N/A. Now I'm going turbo but will stop @ about 400 WHP. Thats beyond enough for the 1320.

I made 260 WHP & 175 WTQ on 10 PSI w/ a ported & polished JRSC, cooler plugs RC 440's, Kami header, test pipe, Apex N! C/B all tuned on an S200. It was quite a handful on the street.

If you know anyone making 200whp with a supercharger then they need to see a new tuner and get a decent EMS.

I bet it's fun, haha. It's so hard for me to choose.

That's what the plan would be for all motor... P73-00 pistons with a single layer head gasket (Would be right around 11.6:1CR or so), JUN IIIs with JUN valvetrain, tuned with CROME (My friends is the sickest CROME tuner in this area, he hooks it up), and with my existing bolt ons, it would make some decent power... Paired with a 4.928FD... Mmmm... It'd be fun, and reliable.

On the other hand, I miss my turbo cars. I'm sick and tired of being slow, haha. All my friends are in the low 11s, 10s and 9s, and I'm just chilling in my stock Type-R, **** needs to change.

I've thought about just buying an '89 240SX, gutting it to ****, and dropping an LS1 with a 150 shot... That'd catch me up real quick. But I'd rather just make the Type-R fast, all the Type-Rs around here are stock or all motor, I want to try and be a little different.

Ahh... I've got months to think about it, I'll figure it out.

thing is though dude, with boost, its just another turbo car and it loses that special edge. one of the things that puts a smile on my face is when people ask the turbo on it, then when their face drops when i tell them its N/A

with my 4.785 FD and the aforementioned setup i can keep up with an FQ-300 Evo 8 up to around 100mph, thats plenty fast enough for me

Monitor your IATs, I guarantee you they're well over 200degrees. Which is not good.
