SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For sale is my 1995 Eclipse GSX. I will also consider a trade for a Civic Si hatch(EG) or any 4 door integra.
Here's a rundown on the history of the car.
The car was owned by my coworker who I have known for 8 years. He bought it brand new and was his daily driver. The car has 220K miles on the chassis. He blew his first engine due to a timing belt failure. The engine was replaced with the current engine in the car. The timing belt on this engine also snapped just 2 months ago. I purchased the car from him as a project car. From what I have read in the DSM forums, a snapped timing belt usually just means new valves and a valve job. Easy work.
Other than the snapped timing belt, the car is CLEAN. Body is straight, with maybe 2 door dings. Paint is still in great shape. Just needs a wax to get the color to shine again. The drivers side fog light housing is cracked. Brakes and shocks are in excellent shape and was replaced within the past year as well as the radiator. Car was running great prior to the timing belt snapping. I should know, we would go to lunch all the time with this car. The interior is in excellent shape. No tears in the leather at all. Car was kept very clean, non smoker.
The tranny is in excellent shape. It has 220K miles on it, but the guy never raced the car. For the past 5 years, his wife has mainly drove the car and she doesn't drive fast at all. The majority of the miles are freeway miles. My coworker lives in Simi Valley and his wife commutes to West LA for work. That's where the miles packed on. The clutch was replaced when the first engine was taken out, which was 75K miles ago. Clutch is still in great shape. No grinds at all in the tranny and the car shifts smooth like butter.
Don't forget this is a turbo car. The turbo runs excellent. Holds boost perfectly. Again, this was used as a daily driver, not a race car.
To get the car running with a new timing belt, new valves, valve job, or just purchase a used head...total cost to get the car running from what I have priced it out at, will range anywhere from 1-1500K parts and labor. Here's your chance to get an AWD eclipse at an excellent price.
Price is set at $1700 obo for the rolling chassis. Again, you spend an extra 1-1500 and you can have a TURBO AWD eclipse for less than 3K. Here's the pics.

With remodeling my house, I don't have time for another project car. Although, if the car doesn't sell soon, I will be sending it to my mechanic to fix. Once I get the car up and running, the car will sell easily for $3500-$4000. Here's your chance to save some money and purchase the car CHEAP.
Send me a PM if you're interested in coming over to check it out.
