H22 Build!!!!
Hey! My name is matt! I'm fairy new to the site still. I'm going to be starting an H22 build pretty soon and need advice! I decided on a bare block build because I realy wanna see what I can get out of it AND I really enjoy it. I know the carbon sleeves gotta go, but after that I havn't planned a thing yet. I basically want opinions on EVERYTHING I need before I start planning. Im graduating High school the 23rd and starting college early august, so I only have this summer for the build and all tuning. It's still going to be my daily driver still so reliability is a MUST. I grew up around drag racing and have plenty of experience with 350 small blocks so the work isn't a problem, the tuning shouldn't be too bad either. Really, my only limit is my budget, which isn't really a set number, just kinda a "not too much" thing (graduation money is really my inspiration here! ). Anyway, fill me in on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you know/recommend!
Please... no flames on turboing! I DO NOT want to turbo! I wouldn't even know where to begin...

well if you are resleeving the block.....
11.5-12:1 compression pistons (im going to get flamed for the 12:1)
crower all motor rods
have the entire bottom end balanced and blueprinted
then have the head p&p with your choice of cams (i like the skunk2 pro2's, others like the toda cams....but they are expensive) with upgraded valvetrain.
if you do a higher compression motor like the 12:1 and use a large cam make sure to clay the motor to check for any clearance issues.
there is a good start.
