Default I installed my C's driving position shifter today...

All I can say is WOW!! What an awesome piece of machinery this shifter is. Quality bearings at all the pivit points. Fully adjustable in everything. Mmmmmmmmmm........C's......

I set it so the **** is about 1/5th the way up the steering wheel, and right becide it. My hand is now at the most 6 inches away from the kob at all times. The only thing I have to change is the throw, it's still a little long for me, but it's kind of a PITA to change so I'll leave it for now.

Funny story: While I was out "testing" my shifter, these two idiots in a late 80's civic with a huge wing totally reved in my window at a light. He must have been running an open header, he totally scared the **** out of me. When I got beack even with him I opened my door (I have plastic on my window due to a rescent break-in) to take a look at him. Here's this 18 year od punk who's totally impressed with himself, laughing and lookin at me like he thinks I'm gona say something cool. I looked him in the eye and said "You're a looser." LOL you should have seen his face fall, I thought he was gona cry. LOL.

Bahahaha...I should of tried that today. Why is it, when people see my ITR they have to rev or do a hard launch in front of me?

Rusted POS compact truck with more rust than paint, I was turning right and he was turning left. I look to check for traffic and he thinks I'm looking at hims so decides to peel away

That's why after next week, my ITR will be emblemless

Thieves? What thieves? You had some thieves visit? Did I miss something?

The shifter sounds radical.. Can't wait to check it out at the next meet.. So you

still have your wing on or no? I have a can of touch-up paint which I will bring to

the meet for anybody who want's to fill some chips... Finally got my fuel door

repaired..

Quote from origional thread.." Shitty, now you have to deal with ICBC....

Thieves and low lifes " so...

are ICBC the theives or the low lifes? LOL

You should get up to your grand max for the stereo stuff, with bills of course.. That'l include parts/tax/labor...

Your shift **** will get replaced as well as the glass, and your seats cleaned..

Anything else? What a bummer man.Take a good look at the car for any other damage... and pour yourself a stiff drink!

Here you go, George:

As you can see there is a nut near the bottom, where the rear joint attaches to the shift rod. Loosen nut, spin rear joint down, tighten nut. Voila!

What different settings does the C's short shifter have on it? How short the throws are or how much shorter the actual shifter is? Any info appreciated. thx.

FYI, the driving position shifter is different from the short stroke shifter (both made by C's). The driving position shifter, as the name implies, allows full adjustability and the shifter is so much taller (thereby shortening the distance from shiftknob to the driver). The short stroke shifter, however, does not allow adjustability and works basically like most short shifters you see in the market.
