I've seen a lot pop up within the last couple of years

 

I know the Honda/ Acura scene is big on Oahu. Its like every teenage filipino owns a Honda or Acura. I guess when I go out on car cruises I should spread the word of Honda-tech or maybe run a HT sticker on my car.

 

I run H-T stickers on my hatch... Dunno if it helps signing people up.

Traffic is still a bitch in the morning. I myself am also going to sell my EJ8. Just need to clean the bad boy and post it on IslandPreviews .

Uhh, I get some stuff from Japan, but a lot of parts come from the mainland.

shoot I'm moving back soon and trying to decide whether or not to bring my hatch. is there a common reason why many sold their hondas? how's the theft nowadays?

 

A lot of people selling their Honda/ Acura because of just that, THEFT!!! You would expect that it would be easy to find a car that has been stolen on a damn island but nope. No sense of having a hatch on Oahu because we got no ******* race track. No can do any runs or race, unless you like to street race. Also there is a lot of cops on the road that hassle the local imports due to not having RECON (reconstruction permits) which I think is bullshit and not needed.

 

I'm Baaaaack. Somebody recommend me a good tuner to tune my built and boosted EM1. I need to get this thing running good so I can sell it.

Not yet. Still have Hawaii plates on the EM1. Once I get it running really good and it's making around 500 whp I'm changing my plates over to Florida. No need to risk having the cops screw with me.

What's the deal with closing the track, doesn't that just mean more street racing? My friends told me about RECON, are cops pulling people over for small reasons (exhaust, drop, etc?).

I'm sorta considering the same thing, sell the hatch here and pickup an s2k when I'm back in HI. Cops give u problems with recon? what for?

They can't enforce a law that's designed to apply to Hawaii registered ehicles if your vehicle isn't registered in Hawaii.
