Give it a few days - if no cash. Then take it to small claims ASAP!

Never has problems with my transaction with Charlie. I had an H22A Civic, and that wasn't stolen.

I've been over to Charlies with my civic a few times. I purchased s2k seats among other higher dollar items. He is a great seller, a good friend, and he can provide you with receipts on his items because they are clean.

He has been way to patient in this matter. I'm surprised he hasn't elevated this to small claims court weeks ago.

i have been to charlies house and bought parts from him i met him in 2001 when i bought a set of si wheels from him ... in a time when i was down on my luck and was trying to get my civic running i needed some parts and charlie offered to take a post dated check i couldnt believe the amount of trust he gave me to offer that but i did write a check to him and he cashed it a week later and all was good .... this is a good guy that got taken advantage of ... from what charlie has told me is that he never even had this guys address and had no clue where he lived .. the check had a po box listed on it so its not like he got the address from that ...

it is a sad situation for both parties the guy lost his car and charlie lost his parts and his money .... but i think if the police thought charlie took the car they would have at least called him and asked him questions but thats not the case no matter what happens i just hope that the buyer steps up to the plate and does the right thing

ummm, didnt this drama go down months ago

why are you complaining now?

MR 'Guitarslinger' is one of the best people ive dealt with, and would deal with him again. He is no scheister, and is more like the scheisted.

Heres what i see, people have have dealt with you charlie and had good experiences, but what if you did steal from him, and have from other people, how are they supposed to know it's you anyways, so its not like anyone would know to say "CHARLIE IS A THEIF" because no one even knows

is there really a solid defense for yourself?

it just sounds like guitarslinger had bad luck and got his car stolen right when he was paying for parts, and of course he's not gonna wanna pay for parts that he's not gonna be able to enjoy so he's going after the most likely person even though it may or may not be them.

everyone is a good seller with a billion vouches until **** happens.

x100, J is a really cool guy, delt with him many times. The guy is just, what can I say, not the type to scam anyone. And if people knew whats whats they would not be posting taking sides without knowing whats going own in this case. I would not keep people in my corner nor put my name on it if it B.S.

Okay, I have read a few comments in defense to Charlies accusation and I am not to pleased with what I am reading. I first met Charlie, roughly, five years ago on ebay and since then have built one hell of a friendship with the guy. He has always been trustworthy, honest, helpful and despite all the crap he gets from ppl on here still manages to keep his integrity. This guy has helped me build every car I have owned so far as well as supply (sell) me the vehicles... Have I ever had any problems with the guy? Not at all. Too many of you take his kindness for granted and it pisses me off to know that this community is poisoned by ppl like that.
I dont know who this Guitarslinger guy is but thats pretty shady to blame a man, that you owe money to, for stealing your vehicle w/o valid evidence. Then to go on this site AFTER your vehicle has been stolen and try to buy parts here and there, and belive me I have seen his wtb ads, for your car and avoid the fact that owe a NOMINAL amount of cash to someone for parts you have already received. NOT COOL! Like I have stated before... Be a MAN and pay your debts, then move on. Its not that hard, its just a little thing us wiser individuals call RESPONSIBILITY....

what does that have anything to do with this?

First of all, that makes you a man that lacks integrity. Second, there is a huge difference between a corporation that takes your money every month and tries to screw you when you need them, and an individual in the hobby that is potentially greatly effected by such losses. (though guitarslinger DID get an insurance payout)

Lets say hypothetically charlie did steal the car. Why would he be pre-occupied with 525 dollars for the past couple months when 1, he'd have his parts back, and 2, a whole car. Why would he bring the entire issue to the Socal community, the community that would technically be the one to keep a low profil in. Why would he invite the police into his home. The last thing he would want to do is keep communication open with guitarslinger. Trust me, guitarslinger would never hear from him again if he stole the car.

Its a ridiculous accusation, and anyone with any deductive reasoning skills should be able to identify guitarslingers accusation is false.
