Default RPM wire in the DX harness? Or not?

90 DX originally DPFI; do they have a wire in the harness for RPM? I know they dont come with a tach, but is there a wire even in the harness? I picked up a 91 cluster with a tach, and it's the first one that I've used that all the lights work perfectly on (ebrake, batt., etc. etc.), but the tach still isnt working.

Do I just need to go ahead and run an RPM wire from the distributor?

I should add that the car is no longer DPFI, it's MPFI and OBD1, running a Z6, w/Z6 dizzy. Dont know if maybe that would have done something?

I soldered the OBD1 dizzy plug on (please dont tell me its my wiring, b/c the car runs fine), but I wonder if for whatever reason the rpm wire didnt with OBD1 plug on? I dunno.

Haha. Man, it always happens to me like this.

Just went to play around with it, I realized that there was in fact a tach wire on the C plug, I touched it and it fell out. Lol. Apparently it de-pinned itself somehow, so I put it back in and ka-blamo, the tach works now.

It's kind of sweet too b/c the tach that's in there now redlines from 5k to 8k. My turbo hits full boost at 5k, and that's about where VTEC engages too. My rev limit is set at 8k too, so the red zone on the tach is my fun zone. Hehe.

Yeah yeah and you can tell your friends that ur feeling adventurous as you push it past the redline.

I'd still go for the EDM gauge cluster.
