Default florida student wants more power- turbo / n-a

hey everyone ive been researching and all that good stuff on if i want a turbo my f22b1 with 82k miles (94 ex auto) or swap it with an h22. i was wanting to stick iwth the f22 really due to it being a good engine and no point in gettin rid of it. but im wanting something reliable and we all know the h22 would be that, im on a budget being a student and all as well. but i was wanting some opinions on what u guys think. a good turbo set up for this florida student or an h22 swap.

i was just gonna go i/h/e/ nitrous but ... i was wanting more gains that what that would give me ( 220-240 range) ill listen to what ever there is to say. (was gonna get a big trans cooler for auto btw)

I dont see why you would want to boost an auto, you won't get the full potential really. On top of that, Im not sure the F22 is the best to boost (from what Ive read here) or put nitrous on.

Probably better off doing an H22 swap and an auto -> manual swap while you are at it.

I dont know what you ^ were reading but the F22 loves boost and takes it like a champ.

To the OP - if you're looking for that much power you should really consider swapping to manual first otherwise your auto is gonna take a crap on you. Depending on which F22 you have you can use some DSM turbo parts.

...yeah ive done my researching on boosting the f22 and i know it can handle it
and i was checking out level ten to beef up my trans. possibly do a triptronic (wana keep the auto) in it thats what i would LOVE to have. of course itll cost a pretty penny though
again ide like to see some more opinions on the matter.

If you're looking at the 220+HP range and keeping your auto, you can keep dreaming. The auto WILL crap out on you no matter level ten parts you throw at it. For the amount of money that you will spend hooking up the auto, you can swap in a manual transmission and not have to worry about it craping out on you the first time you stomp it.
But if you are determinded to keep the auto, run boost in the 2-4 PSI range, that should keep you around 200HP depending on other mods. You won't be able to get to 240-250HP but it will still be fun to drive. just my 2 cents.

hmm..well if i do a h22 swap wouldnt it be better to do the full swap anyways motor + trans? if that was the case shouldnt i just swap it over to manual instead of keeping my auto? and i was thinking that a big trans cooler would help the auto under pressure since ... thats what they are made for.

H22 came in auto form as well, why not get an LSD auto tranny and swap that along with it

cause it's still a craptastic auto that he will have to spend a butt ton of money on to get it to handle any kind of power.
If you're going to go for a swap, you might as well swap in the manual. It will handle more power more effeciently and it manuals are the sex!

hmm... so its looking like ima go for an h22 swap. despite having my low mileage f22b1. rents prolly wont go for a whole engine swap saying mine is fine how it is.
its reliable and cost effective and i can keep auto.--- with the h22 just less power than a boosted f22 and... a little more pricey. but i think its actually what im lookin at wanting. i guess ill see...the more i think about it the more im thinking its not ever/ going to take a long time to get done

what about the triptronic i heard someone said that levelten offered this?

-edit-
hmm.... im thinking of going h22 head on f22 block.... i thought about it before
but right now its looking very appeasing. ive read prelittleludes thread on the subject and im sure me and my friends could do the work im not htat savy but they really are lol. ide keep f22 auto etc etc make more power etc etc. what type of power could i get out of an all motor g22? what ya think on this one? oh and it seems alot cheaper than anything else. h22 head runs about...???
