I have a 00 civic si that had a d16y8 block topped with a d16y8 head unstalled in it before I got it. The cruise control parts seem to be inplace yet, except for the vacuum lines from the actuator to the intake manifold. The y5 intake manifold does not have a nipple for the cruise control anywhere on it. I would like to keep the y5 intake on it, it is presently getting over 38 mpg.
My question is this:
Can I drill, tap and install a vacuum nipple for the cruise control? Does it need to be located in a certain area on the intake body (plenum, I think) to work properly?
Can I tap into a different vacuum line?

Vacuum is vacuum, install a "t" fitting in-line and be done with it. An easy vacuum source is usually your FPR as it's normally on the top side of your fuel rail/IM.
