B16 Trouble

Default B16 Trouble

Ok I hit a puddle and hydro locked the motor... got it started again but now theres a nasty tick comin out of the motor and it wont rev past 6grand.. any suggestions on wats bent/ruined?

You could have bent a valve or fucked up something else in the motor. Get a compression and leakdown test and post the results.

LOL ive got 3 or 4 of those lying around the house... jus have to put one together.. lol nah ive ordered after market rods and got everything i need to fix her bad to normal for 450$...

If you've got LS motors laying around, I'd save my $450 and try one of those out if you've never driven one with a good tranny.

I was shocked the first time I drove an LS with an ITR tranny. Definately an Eye opener for the potential of that motor.

lol i know the feeling i fell inlove with the LS/B16tranny setup.. torque is KING! lol but all my ls **** is OBD1 and my car is OBD2... so I dont wanna go thru that head ache again... ya know?

Conversion harnesses go for $50-75.

Pretty simple too.
