Default Insurance?

I am thinking about getting an RSX-S. But i can't get it unless the insurance is less than 3200 per year. It will be insured under my dad (a 42 year old married w/ children) as a third car. do you guys thik 3,200 is do-able?
How much is it to insure ur rsx-s?
what insurance co. do u have?
What is ur situation...(age, sex, location, maritual status, and other cars?)?
Is there anyone on this board who is in the same situation as my dad?... ~40yrs, male, married, other cars?

Thanks a bunch

-Sean

yep,..I have mad INS points(GSR) and on my RSX-S I went under my parents INS,..so it is very cheap,..don't sweat it!
I was paying like $280 for GSR(cuz of wreck,.that got me JDM front end,.no license points just INS points)
to-- like I pay $123 now under my parents w/ the RSX-S
you should be the same as mine I would think!

WTF??? $123.oo you...BASTARD!!!!!.. hahaha. Man I wish I could pay that, mine is 235.oo a month and I have a clean record, well I used to but my insurance is cool still. At first I was with Farmers insrance and when I first got my car they wanted belive it or not...9oo.oo a month wtf? Farmer wanted 1100.oo a month from my brother who got a 2oo1 type R and his record is clean as well. So we dropped thier *** in a heart beat. At the moment I am with Progressive insurance paying 235 a month and my bro's type R is like 240 a month. Much better, and also we are not under out parents. We have our own policy's. But if you can get under your parents go for it. Your going to have more money saved up for mods . Well good luck with the insurance thing.

Dam! i just checked w/ progressive and they said that they don't cover anyone in NJ.....WTF! and i checked w/ USAA, which my parents have right now and is supposibly the absolute best insurance co. ever, and they want 3,400 a year. Do u guys think i should get my own policy, or convince my parents to switch? Or is this a good deal, considering NJ sux and no one insures NJ?

thanks,
-Sean

My Type-S insurance is about $1200 per year with Progessive 100/300/100 coverage.

Amazingly, that is about $300/year less than my wife's '95 GS-R. The collision coverage is actually more, but the bodily injury coverage is much lower. Thank you McPherson struts and side airbags!
