Default question on h2b swap

Hi All,

This my first swap and im looking to swap an H22 into an ek. then do the h2b swap as well.

Can anyone give me an idea as to how difficult this will be, and an idea as to what parts would be needed. I have a general idea, but want to make sure i have everything so i can get this in the works.

Also is the whole resistor box hard to get ahold of and wire up?

goto http://www.hasport.com for the mounts and axles.

The resistor box is easy to wire in. you start by taking apart the split loom covering you injector wiring. If you are using stock Prelude injectors than you will need the plugs for the injectors because they are different than your stock ones. all you do is take the power wires going to your injectors and cut them all and solder them together. then you connect that power to the resistor box. The resisitor box has five wires on it (I cant remember the colors off the top of my head). Four of the wires are the same color (power out of resistor box to injectors) and one is a different color (power into the resistor box.) All you have to do is take the bundle of power wires that used to go to your injectors and hook them up to the different color wire on the resistor box. then you take the four wires that are all the same color and hook one up to each injector (it doesn't matter which injector each wire goes to, its just a power supply).

Okay now your injectors will have power.

the ECU supplies the ground signal to the injectors and this is the easy part. all you do is match up the colors. YOu should have Red, Yellow, Blue and Brown. and thats it your done.

as far as the ecu wiring. its pretty much the same as a vtec b series swap?

would i need to step up to a larger rad or will the single core work? how about rad hoses? which ones would i need?

its only going to be a dd, with some drag strip time.

get a single core radiator from an 1995 civic delsol vtec (b16a model) and that should be plenty. as for the hoses go, I can't remember, but the 1995ish prelude hoses would be my best bet

You'll need to contact QSD or Evolution motorsports to get h2b kit and/or mounts for an Ek.

I'm looking to do that swap soon too.

It will be like a b-series swap with minor modification. Grinding of the block, etc etc.
