Default auto?

is it better to have it auto or in manual auto.
i heard leaving it in manual auto it uses more gas and with gas prices rising the less gas use is better. just a quick ?. any info would be great. thanks

Default Re: auto? (racereaper7)

I drive like a bum yo. I have an 03 RSX base auto and I rarely use the 5 speed. Something is not right with it, it's plainly just not a stick shift... It's a sport shifter or whatever they call it.. ."triptronic" or whatever... To save gas, I keep it in auto because it shifts at the right spots for good fuel efficiency. My RSX shifts around 2500 rpm's every time and when i'm slowing down, I know i'm about to stop, or i'm cruising down a hill, I will slide it to neutral and my last fill up was 390 miles for full tank... I also have stock exhaust, Fujita Short Ram Intake, and strut bar? Mostly stock... haha
