Where to go for maintenace in So. Cal.?
Hey guys,
I just picked up an 02 Berlina with 24K miles. Since the cars been sitting around more often than it was driven, I thought doing a complete maintenace on the car (engine, tranny, etc.) should be done. Are there any shops in so cal that you guys trust your cars with? Or do you just go to your local dealership?
Any help would be appreciate. Thanks.

There are no real S2000 specialized shops around here, only S2000 Master Techs at the dealers, crazy tuner shops like Signal Auto. Personally I'd take it to a dealer for a complete diagnostic if you're not familiar with the car. Should run around $260.
I don't think he can afford you or me.
What kind of maintenance? You can probably do the 30k now, which covers pretty much everything. If you're going to do it in steps:
Oil/tranny/diff fluid change.
Cabin air filter
Air filter
Alignment
Brakes

I want to do a COMPLETE job. Basically, the basics (oil change) plus transmission fluids (using the recommended transmission fluids for smoother shifts), brakes, etc. I wouldn't mind someone that knows the car better than Honda dealerships work on my car. I'd rather do that and stay with my car while help out so I can learn myself rather than dropping the car off at a Honda dealership and not knowing if they did a little test drive.
Pretty much all the stuff Mr. Projekt stated in the 30K service.
I'm also having a weird clunking at start-up and shut down, so maybe that can get checked out.
I'd appreciate the help guys.

I can make it out to either one. Since your tools are out in Oxnard, does that mean you wouldn't be able to do it on the weekends?
