Default more quiet exhaust

i have 3" piping that leads to a 4.5" muffler. I still have my cat and resonators. but it is still loud as F*ck. honestly its the loudest car in my school/neighborhood by FAR. basicly its the loudest car ive ever heard. people thing i have no cat. anyways, back to the issue, wat can be a nice quiet tone exhaust when im cruising, but still has that nice sport tone when i gun it? any suggestions?

i was thinking of the itr exhaust, is that any good?

ITR is GOOD... but for almost the same price you could get a WS2 or rsr exmag. They're generally regarded as the two quietest exhausts besides OEM

A twin-loop is another option.

the trick is not to get a "straight through" design muffler. that's what makes them so loud. apexi's world sports 2 is an extremely quiet exhaust.

The noisy thing bout your exhaust maybe the result of poor air circulation of and its would also depend on the design of muffler on your car and the K & N cold air intake.

a 3" exhaust is a little overkill unless you are running a turbo.......but the exhaust suggusted are good...been thinking about doing this myself...right now I have no cat....omni test pipe with oem itr b-pipe to a HKS ....its a little loud but not god awful ricey....

I'm assuming you are turbo'd since you have a 3" exhaust. A chambered muffler like the ws2 will be a HUGE bottleneck. There is absolutely no reason to get one. A good middle ground muffler is the Vibrant flat black muffler or ES Oval which utilizes a straight through design but is much quieter than your average N1 muffler.

Now if your stock NA than your exhaust (straight through or chambered) is reduced to a noise maker. If you are going to start doing headwork to your car than you benefit from a straight through design opposed to chambered. If not, stick with a chambered muffler.
