Ok. So I have a stock civic VX with a d15z1 that needs a new tranny and paint on the bumper and fender, also has a salvage title. its lowrered on spw coilovers and aftermarket shocks, it has a carbon fiber duckbill and a axelback exhaust.

My friend has a 91 CRX Si thats gutted with a roll cage 5 pt harness with a type r block and a type r head with gsr internals, skunk 2 intake manifold, skunk 2 camshafts, fpr fuel rail, steel braided fuel lines, walbro fuel pump, t3/t4 t66 turbo, ram horn header, 3 inch downpipe, manual boost controller, full race intercooler, apex-i VAFC controller, skunk 2 megapower 3 piece exhaust, monster 5 inch tach with shift light, GSR rear disc brakes, good clutch, and a mugen body kit and its primer black. He said itll have 300 hp at low boost at 6 psi. It needs a new head gasket, to be tuned, and also needs a new transmission because it lost fith gear the other day.

He has suspension and racing seats and rotas on it but he wants to keep them, and trade suspension seats and rims on our cars.

He wants to trade me straight accross for my car + 600 bucks because he wants to start fresh again.

How much is this car worth?

What do you think I should do?

 

crx si are sweet but it sounds like it might have been ragged on a bit... mugen body kit thats primer black?? but a type r motor sounds nice.... hmm i dunno.... what type of tranny did it have? and it needs a new head gasket... also im not sure that you will be able to change your suspensions and seats easily..

but since it seems you have a secound car (on your sig) i think it would be a great project car. yah i would do it a civic vx for a crx si.... sunroof baby

besides you can find a vx all day, a little harder to find an si

 

hmm. I dunno; I'd be wary of buying someone else's project unless you "know" the car and the person well.

 

I know the guy pretty well hes invested a lot of money into it and done it right.

Hes just looking for a new car to build. I didnt really want to get a project car but this deal is way too good to pass up. Well my civics my daily driver and I just got rid of the prelude :/ so this would have to be my daily driver....

I think it had a LS tranny in it but not 100% sure. Hes gone through a lot of transmissions though hes told me. I was also thinking of the suspension and seats that they wouldnt be able to work... but he said they'll work..
