Does the engine catch at all (stumble and die), or does it just sit there and crank? Are you trying to start the motor for the first time after swapping it in, or was the engine running already and this problem suddenly came up out of the blue?

it wants to start so bad but i justed wont start it started up for a sec then it die like i had to keep the key in start mode to do that and yea im starting it up for the frist time it ran when it came out of the other car i just dont know y its not starting up do you have any clue
yea i dont know if im getting spark but when i try to start it when i move the cap from side to side it wants to start but it shots fire so spark and gas make fire so i have to be getting spark and the grounds i think that they are all on im thinking about just grounding every thing to see what happends thanks for your help not trying to bother you but if you have any thing elce to help me out that would be nice
what year is your motor and what kinda ecu r u running and a good way to test for spark would be to unplug all the spark plug wires and remove the spark plugs, then attach the spark plugs back on to the wires, make sure u keep it away from fuel leaks n things like that, have a buddy crank it and look for sparks comming from the spark plug. u can just test out one plug. but i had the same problem with my swap it didnt wanna start so then i had to convert external coil to internal
i dont know the year but i think its 1994-1996 one of those years and how did you convert external coil to internal im useing my 1996 accord wireing harness and ecu and coil its a internal coil right now cuz if i use the h22 harness one plug i just stting there and my fuel pump wont kick on if i use the h22 harness and it sounds funny to if i use the h22 ecu i think that the problem is with the coil but i dont know help me anyone please

so ur set up is kinda like mines i had to convert my external to internal n im using a 96 accord engine wiring harness, a obd2 to obd1 ecu jumper, and a 93 p13 ecu (h22 ecu). im pretty sure u have the obd2 ecu plugs so then u might need to get the same setup as mines. but if ur motor is an 97 and up all u need to get for that would be a 96 p13 vtec ecu. did u cut or wire n e thing? did u double check to see if u may have crossed some wires? check engine lighT?
how do you convert an external to
internal?, no i didnt cross no wires. what do you meen by the cheack enigen light? the h22 came with a external and sence i used the stock accord waire harness i had to use the stock internal coil and what were you saying about the 93 accord ecu? whats a ecu jumper

EXTERNAL IGNITION COIL will have 3 wires coming out of it. 2 connect to the distributor and 1 goes to a power source.:
GRN@coil, GRN@dizzy - connects coil to dizzy
YEL@coil, BLK/YEL@dizzy- connects coil to dizzy (should be a LARGE wire)
BLK/YEL - connects coil to power source.
more facts:
Internal/External Coil Issues:
If your car came equipped with an internal coil then the JDM H22 distributor will plug right in no problem. However, if your car had external coil then you will have to modify one plug. The plug you will need to modify is the plug that went to the stock coil. There are is a yellow and a yellow/black wire, splice those 2 wires together. The Black/White wire is useless, don’t worry about it. (urs might not be blk/wht its prolley green)
i connected the yel/blk wire to the yel wire and left the green one alone cas i wasnt using the external coil n e more. and the plug with the 2 wires i just pluged it up to the distributor. do u have a crank sensor next to ur pully? cas if u do u might have to run it to ur dist. just double check to make sure u have all the wires going to the dist. it should be a fat plug with like 9 wires or so i'll check tommaro n name u all the colors that i have for my dist. but tell me exatcly how u ran ur setup and is ur motor a jdm motor? n wat kinda dist r u using

my motor is a h22a4 and im useing the 1996 accord motor harness. the coil and cap it internal. it only has one plug coming out of it. the h22a4 coil is external. it has 2 plugs. and that little box thing thats for external.i need to put the h22a4 coil on the h22a4 and still use the 1996 accord motor harness. its not a jdm. if you could could you send me pictures of your wires so i could see how you did it to. thanks for the color codes. for the pictures you could just post them up or send them to my email drinkbud128@yahoo.com thanks alot
k i'll do that but sesne u have a h22a4 from wat i know that is a 97+ model which has external coil and a crank sensor near the pulley so u would have to wire it up like mines which is to extend the crank sensor wires sohuld be 4 wires to the dist i'll take apart my wires n shot u wat i did
