anyone ever put hid kit on an eg/ej1 factory fog light

yes i have seen it done, i dont know if it is really worth it thought. my buddy WAS running it on his hatch but a rock hit the light and broke the HID and the fog light both. now he doesnt wanna fork out the money to fix both. IMO it was a bit bright for a fog light.... even the yellow.
