Swapping 99-00 climate control into 96-98 civic

Swapping 99-00 climate control into 96-98 civic
Just wondering if anyone has done this. I know the 96-98 has the lever and buttons, and the 99-00 has *****, so would it involve switching around other components or does it just plug right in? If anybody knows or knows where to look, help a guy out.
