Tweeter Location In a 1997 Accord SE
I've been fighting with this for quite some time now ... I want to put my tweeter up high on the doors, but I don't want to cut the door panel to do it ... I did that in my last car, and I had to let those tweeters go with the car
.
I would like to put them on that trianglgular plastic piece covering the connections to the power (side) mirrors, but I'm afraind that they will look like a tumor - Ew!
Anyone have some suggestions?! Pics would be nice

i did the same thing, it's a good idea, actually mine is an ex with stock tweets, but i just disconnected them. Location is actually very nice there, although a little bright due to proximity
i'll post a pic if i can find it...

What year Accord do you (bmm89) have? If you can find ANY pics of stock tweeters for the Accords in that triangular location by the side-view mirror, please email me ... GMan_CRX@Hotmail.com

97 same as you, i have an ex, with stock tweets in the dash next to window... they are now disconnected, using infinity kappas(y2k version) components
if you know a place that installs stereo stuf then take it there, but personally i would take the piece out and either flush mount thetweeter your self or use the external piece that comes with them cause normally they only screw in and do not take a genius to install. ON the other hand you could try your hand a doing fiberglass work and build a set of kick panels in the corners of youe floorboard and get better sound imaging
Sweet! Thanks man!! If you RIGHT CLICK on the "Oops thing" go to "Properties" and copy / paste that into a new browser, the image will be able to be seen.
Looks like I might have to do some fiberglass work

there was no fiberglass work involved, i just flush mounted the tweeters without the adjustable pods using stock triangles
pulled the triangles off, then drilled a hole in them for wires, then i think i glued the tweeters on, or maybe they had screws, eitherway works
wiring goes behind the panel which you can kinda see here:
i have components but separates is the same setup
oh and to get the triangles off, you have to pull OUT then UP and for the doors, one screw behind plastic cover in door latch, another at the bottom of the door pull, and one plastic cap that just pops off just below the triangles
then remove door latch panel by SLIDING towards the front of the car, sorta like battery cover on remote, cuz there are two plastic hinges behind the plastic panel
then push the plastic clip away from the door pull lever, remove wiring, lift up the door and out
it's self explanatory once you get the screws out... just do not pull straight out on the door latch panel, the stupid hinges will break!!!
honda wants $150 for each of those mothers so don't break them... i learned the hard way(buy superglue just in case)
