Default Painting at home?

Hi,

Im interested in spraying the $50 paint job. However, my garage is disgustingly dirty (basicaly a dirt floor) and messy and I am worried that even if I washed it down it still would grab a lot of dirt from the air?

How is every body seting up their DIY paint job. Are yousing a portable garage or just painting it in your garage.

I just picked up a portable garage from Harbor Freight. Think this is going to work pretty well

Homemade paint booth thread

I would just clean it up the best possible and go from there. Won't be much in the air if there is not much there to begin with

That thread is what prompted me to make this one. Unfortunately, it's more about the arc from a fan igniting the paint.

Should I wrap the garage with plastic and have an exhaust fan with a filter or just wet sand the crap out? I'm guessing doing it out side w/o a portable garage is just plain stupid.

go to home depot and buy a couple LARGE tarps and lye them down on the floor then push your car into the garage and then tarp the walls

even a thick plastic will work

good luck with it
