What have you guys been getting in terms of miles per gallon? If it is not that far off from the 35 I get with my EX I would seriously consider upgrading the to si

Let me know!

Sorry man, but use the search feature. There are at least 3 of these threads.

BTW, welcome to the site.

if you really step on it and have a lot of fun, expect the average to be 24.

If you have fun with it while on a long trip on the highway, you'll still get like 29-31mpg.

if you just cruise at highway speeds for the full tank, you can aget as high as 34 from what I've read.

there are other posts about this.....try using the search

you would lose a LOT of money trading in your car or even selling it, but if you can afford to do that and get the Si, go for it. night and day difference of a car.

i went from an RX-8 that got 15-17mpg to this...so I can't complain, but i did lose quite a lot of dough (although I do save about $200/mo in gas).

Hahhahaha... you're definitely not going to get 35 MPG. Just dis-reguard ANY post you see of someone saying "OMG I got 40 MPG in my SI!!!". It won't happen. Sure you might get mid (low) 30s every once in a while.. but if you're getting that, then you're just driving the SI in a way that makes it a waste, and you might as well stick with a base civic.

My first tank of gas was just run through completely last night, and I got 27 MPG. Some say gas mileage improves after the break-in, I don't really beleive that considering the last 2 new cars I've gotten have never improved in gas mileage, and the fact that there is no logical explanation as to why it would improve.

Keep in mind that the 27 MPG I got was with maybe 3 7k+ RPM shifts tops, since I'm trying to take it easy on her. The rest of the shifts have been below 4k.

I figure once she hits about 500 miles and I really start flogging on her, gas mileage will be low 20s. Why buy an SI if you're going to be ultra concerned about high gas mileage?

My past two tanks have averaged 30.44mpg and 29.4mpg CITY

I hit redline a few times each tank. The 29.4mpg was like 10-12times while the 30 was like 5.

This tank I am expecting around the same even though I have driven it like it wants to be driven for about 15 miles.

Also, I have been averaging 29-30mpg CITY (with few hwy miles maybe like 10 seriously) continuously for the past 6 months.

I get at LEAST 300 (Typically 330-355) miles / Tank. Mostly city driving, some highway.

i've run through 2 full tanks of gas without really getting on it (no redlines til i break it in some). 1st was a lot of highway and I got 27.5 mpg and the second was equal parts city highway and i got 24.5 mpg. we'll see if it does any better once i have a few miles on it, but then i'll probably spend more time in vtec, so probably not!

I've been keeping track of my mpg since I bought my car and I average 23~25 mpg with grandma shifting @ 15% Freeway. 80% City. 5% Vtec.

Using the car as a daily driver I consistently get 21-21 mpg.

I get anywhere from 24-29 depending on my driving style, amount of highway driving etc. I also hit vtec 1-5 times daily.

Damn thats a pretty broad range.

I guess making 150K / year you can afford all the gas you need though!

Anywhere between 23-26 city hitting vtec hare and there. Just got back from Nashville, 5.5 hour drive and got 32 to the gallon but that was with cruise control on I40 only redlined while on the on-ramps.

if you really play around and know how to coast downhills and not rev up too much I was able to get 38 mpg. Not a whole lot of fun but thats pretty impressive.

Driving Situation:
average speed 55-65 mph. State Highway with lots of hills to glide down and barely pressing the gas when going up hills.

My best is around 26mpg from daily driving and it only gets worse from there. On average I get around 22 to 24.

On a trip, I get lucky and reach as high as 30mpg.

I believe it's between 26 to 28mpg. I'm always stuck in traffic.. even on the freeway. BTW I have a reflash, so that might make a difference.
