I didn't realize the Gumball 3000 was an illegal race across America!! I am not flaming, I don't agree with it, but it is pretty sweet.

Chris - who thought the Gumball 3000 was a track race!

Me and a good buddy were talking about entering one. I want to get my HB totally up to spec but I dunno. The entrance fee is a little up there for me. We were thinking about entering in a couple years in an M5 or something. That'll be the day.

I think a Civic is just a little bit out of place... Well, unless you're a Turbo B20VTEC monster with about $4-5k in suspension and brand new Z-rated tires with some HUGE brakes... and um.. huge wallet for all the tickets you'll get.

Altho... I'd do it if I had as much money as those guys, LS tranny high speed cruising with the Italians...

man i posted this 2 days ago in the o/t board both here and on honda-acura.

this race has been run in Europe in years past. This year they decided to bring it to the U.S. They ran from NY to LA. Dado in that M3 put over 7000 miles on his car in 13 days (front end looked NASTY afterwards). Entrance fee was around $8700 per car (w/ 2 people). Only 100 cars were accepted. Many of the participants it looks like shipped their cars over from Europe to participate (a Skyline GT-R can also be seen in the video).

I hear it will be happening next year, this time from San Francisco to Miami.

thats a good race, but i personally like the Stockholm Getaway races movie much better. you can find them on http://www.IMESH.com and download the software then search for Stockholm getaway and you'll have the 911 or the 2nd race both are over 100mb.

I like when Daisy Duke and that other chick are driving the white Countach running from the cops, then they get some truckers to spray it w/ water and it changes to red (remember those old Hot Wheels that would change color under hot or cold water ). That's from the beginning of Cannonball Run 2 I believe. Oh yeah, Jackie Chan in the Mitsubishi w/ all the gadgets is cool, too.

I stayed at their pitstop here in Memphis when they came through a month or so ago.
Completly bad ***!
so many Ferrrais I lost cound, Diablos, Benzes, A TVR, A Skyline, a ton of Porshes, and some older muscle cars. Bad ***.
I saw a turbo Beetle that was driven by some playboy playmates, so a bad *** honda would not be out of place too bad.
$10,000 entry fee though a guy told me. One guy who just bought his Diablo got a free ticket.

That clip was funny as hell trying to see the cops stop the Gumball. The one cop chasing the red bike sounded all panicked and saying hey is pulling away from me at 120
