I am super legit.
The Greddy Power Extreme II Turbo 70mm exhaust (Race Only) not CARB approved for 94-01 GSR has just hit our shores on May 29.

I had the prototype on my car and I discussed this with Artubo. This exhaust has the following features.

-70 mm all the way through
-Large resonator to control noise
-Noise reduction insert into muffler (with minimal power Loss)...more on this in a future post
-projects at an angle to optimize exhaust flow and eliminate obstruction
-bolts to stock cat..That is right, it is a bolt on!!!!

Wow...looks good...wish I had $600 right now.

 

It sure is nice to know things before some of the workers at greddy do. Anyhow, this exhuast is very nice and quiet compared to the thermal. Well, I cant say that because Ive never heard the greddy exhuast but Im just making an assumption since its greddy. But from what others tell me its very quiet.

if it comes out for the 92-95 civic 3dr i would definitely get it over the thermal r&d. every exhaust for the hatchback is restrictive unless u go custom or thermal.

Pretty tempting cause it's quiet and a bolt on, but...

1. It's not full stainless steel like the thermal is and costs more.
2. That tip is too damn big for my tastes.

Nice to have an alternative and I can't wait to see the dyno plot...

 

i installed a P.E. II for a 2.5rs a year and a half ago. Very very nice exhaust system! worth buying

Is it only quiet w/ the silencer in or does that just make sound non-existent w/ it it? I've been looking for a quiet exhaust. Damn I hate so cal cops.

The Thermal is full stainless and cheaper so it will get my money. But, the Greddy looks good on paper because of the resonator and ability to attach right to the stock cat!

 

Does it matter if its for a GSR or an LS?? I don't think it would cuz you have to custom fab it to the downpipe anyways. Or am I wrong?

 

Please.. and please tell me that it's available on a 4 door. I've had my SP on for a little over 3 years now and I love it to death. Not even one rust on that damn exhaust and people sometimes asks me why is it so damn rust free. I thought about it twice if I should get a thermal exhaust but damn, till I saw your thread.

true it costs more but its probably quieter... agreeing with arturbo cuz of their exhausts and being at least 95 dB or less is their claim to fame.

isn't 70 mm, more like 2.8 inches?
