I can't believe my new Sport Fit has a door ding caused by some jerk in the parking structure at San Diego State. The space wasn't even tight and I centered my vehicle in the space. Geez ! I know it had to happen, but this soon ? So, what to do. The idea of adding side moldings seems like a good one, but Honda doesn't offer them for the Fit. Why ? The body is very light metal and dents are gonna happen. Well, I came across this guys website on Honda Insights that sheds some light on the problem.

He makes some very interesting points concerning the dilemma of adding side moldings.

I also found another pretty cool site, http://www.autopia.com that has lots of tips on taking care of your cars, serious tips, from pro auto detailers. I read there about something called "removable" side moldings. I guess they are magnetic and you just use them for certain parking situations and hope they don't get stolen.

Anyway, has anybody found these removable type ? Where would one look ?
I haven't had any luck with the search engines so far. If so, an answer here would be helpful.

on the contrary they dont come factory in japan
only in asian countries like phillipines, malaysia, indonesia, thailand etc

i think they look sweet
