False Floor / Spare Tire Well
Hey guys, I was thinking of doing a false floor in the GSR for a single 12" sub and two amps, problem is I really don't want to loose my spare tire.
I took a look at an RSX-S yesterday and they have a bose subwoofer perfectly formed to fit into the spare tire, so you can basically have a sub and keep the tire. I was thinking if it might be worth it to try to get the molding, pulling the speaker (or trying to aquire it unloaded) and then somehow modifiying it to provide enough air for a single 12" sub.., then building a false floor around it
any better ideas? I've also seen the JBL audioform but it's too much (3x 10" in spare tire well)
Does anyone have pics of some false floor installs? I'd really appreciate it!

It's not an integra, but you can check out what I did in my brother's BMW

there are alot of options there...you just have to get creative...I would think it would be easy to do with a 10" and mount the amp elsewhere.
No matter what if you want a spare + sub + amps down there, you will be raising your floor. I have yet to see that particular car, but you could get a shallow 12" in there and amps, all recessed with raising it 3-4"s - not too shabby.

Nice to see you are still posting O_Rage_O. You could build yourself a fiberglass enclosure that fits perfectly in the spare tire. I think first, you would need to pick a sub that works in the airspace you have available.
anyone know some good diy fiberglass instructions? i have no idea what I'm doing and all i got so far is google and sound-domain
