Default Kumho SPT's - put 'em on stock 16's or get 17's?

Question I have. I like the SPT's, however I have a new EX Coupe with fairly nice five spoke factory silver 16" wheels. I am considering going to 17" wheels (bronze five or six spoke). The question is you all think I would be better off staying with my factory wheels and put the SPT's on them, or go with the 17"s and put the SPT's on them? I ve looked at so many wheels I dont really care anymore!!! LOL

I'm not sure why you're asking.

If you want to spend the money to buy new 17" wheels, go for it. If you like the 16" wheels you have, keep using them.

Oh, well sorry! I was just asking for opinions from those out on the forum. But I did ask for opinions and thanks for contributing. But, since you asked why Im asking, what would you, keep 'em or get new ones?

The main reason to keep them is, if you're happy with them, there's no need to spend a lot of money on new wheels and new tires.

The main reason to get new ones is if you don't like them and/or if you would like the looks of something else better, and it would make you happy enough that it's worth spending a whole lot of money on them.

Your choice.

Yeah, price is a thing to consider. I like the factory ones, I just think that bronze would LOOK better, but the factory ones perform fine. I really dont like the factory tires, and I probably will just go with a better tire. I COULD always paint or refinish my factory wheels with a bronze color! I could use the money on exhaust and intake!!!!!!!Hm, at 47 years old, I still have to have it beat into my head!!!!!!!!!

Air Force National Guard, Its an adventure!!!! (Really, it is! I promise!)

I think that bronze looks like crap, a "ricer" look that makes it look like you're trying to make your car look different by making changes in poor taste. And it won't help you at all if and when you decide to sell your car. But it's all a matter of taste; if that's what you like, go for it. (And, if you're buying a second set of wheels, it's a matter of money, too.)

That's fine. That's not uncommon, too; the factory generally uses longer-lasting, all-season tires, whereas you have the ability to get the tires YOU want, that might not last as long, but will give you better performance (and might even be cheaper, too).

Well, we are all entitle to out taste! I happen to like the bronze, gunmetal, and in some cases black. I am considering just using my OEM 16's and put some Kumho Ecsta ASX's and just be different; keep the factory wheels! Just do the usual suspension mods and call it done..............
