Well all of a sudden my car seems to be acting weird. I have a d16z6 in a 94 cx and I recently put it in a few months ago and its been running fine but all of a sudden today the temperature rose up in the red. Also when i start the car the car idles fine around like 1000k then it suddenly drops to half of that and feels like the car is going to die. I need help guys

 

Ok I some what figured it out. My radiator fan isn't turning on and theres no pressure on the hose that leads to the radiator

 

Hmm, sounds like a blown headgasket.

Just in case, change out your thermostat first. If that doesn't fix it, pull the head. It takes a while to actually need the fan to run to cool the motor.

 

If it was a blown head gasket wouldn't there be oil in the coolant?? I don't see signs of any oil in there. Or am I wrong?

 

Only if it was a severely blow headgasket. Most blown headgasket won't mix the two on a Honda at least.

But like I said, replace the t-stat first, it could be stuck closed.
