6th generation sedan suspension
I'm looking for an noticeable upgrade in my suspension for a 1999 sedan that could be lowered and ride smooth still. I know dropping the car will cause less comfort, but i was wondering if I can gain both and i was wondering what i should go with. So far, with the research I have done...I got this: Eibach Sportkit, don't know about shocks yet, and a rear strut bar. Do I need an entire sturt kit meaning for the front, rear, etc. or could I just stick with a rear and be good.
Koni's - there is no rear strut bar available for the 6thgens and if you manage to put on in your passengers will hit their head on it. Get the TL-S front upper strut bar if you want something factory for a low price.
what about tien basics? i was reading SCC and they mentioned balancing the weight on the chassis and tuning the suspension. they said that it was their only suspension mod and it greatly improved all aspects of the handling, granted it was on an s2k, i'd look into that. but i may be wrong
For a daily driver, suspension upgrades are simple. The lower the drop, the stiffer the springs. As you increase the stiffness of the spring, you need to increase the dampening of the shock. The best thing you can do is get a good set of springs (Tein, Eibach, H&R, Neuspeed, etc.) and match it with higher performance struts (Tokico Illuminas or Koni Yellows - which i prefer). Keep in mind that with a 6th gen there is a lot of room to drop, so you don't have to be too conservative with your drop for fear of a crappy ride. I have Neuspeed Sports with Koni Yellows and dropped the perch; the ride is much more responsive and close enough to stock comfort.
neuspeed have really good springs..if you have the money go for koni yellows but if your on a little lower budget go with the KYB AGX's..not so much money and they are awesome shocks thats what im runnin on my 94 accord and they are amazing

I think you've got wrong information. The rear strut bar will go behind the rear seatback in the trunk, not the upper bar that is usually ran in hatchbacks.
Anyway, I"m thinking H&R Sports on OEM struts, then later on getting Tokico blues...for a '98 EX-L sedan.
