Default will tires make a big difference in acceleration, handling and braking ?

Just wondering how "big" a difference tires will make a to my car. Specifically a nice summer tire like the kumho ecsta SPT. Will it increase my accel and decel noticiably ? Right now im on 4 different brand tires which are all shitty as F***.

Not to be rude, but im a physics guy.

Whats between the car and the ground?

The answer is yes tires greatly increase your braking, handling and acceleration.
I have 2 diffeferent sets, Toyo in the front an Fuzion in the back, it makes a big difference. Every tire is different, I just gets something that is equally good in all categories.

Besides grip, also take into consideration the tire weight which increases rotational inertia and affects acceleration and deceleration. tirerack.com has some decent tire comparisons tests.

And you say I'm a cocky bastard.

Yes, tires affect every aspect of braking, handling, and accelleration.

You only go, stop, turn as fast/efficiently as your tires can handle.

tires make a huge difference in your car from performance, handling, and ride quality!!...most ppl overlook tires because they think its not that important. but it is.....simply, they are the feet of a car.

On a grassy field would you rather race someone in bowling shoes, tennis shoes, or cleats?
