Civic Si Sedan 07 vs. Civic Si Coupe 07
I am planning to get a civic si sedan I believe, but I don't know if I am going to make the right choice. So can someone tell me the benefit of one over the other...etc. Thank you!
Hmmmm, thats a tough call. More your prefernce. I have a coupe and LOVE it, but I swear the sedans look so tasty. And I keep seeing Sedans kick *** on the track.
Get the one YOU WANT, don't base it off other people's opinion. If you are paying for this car then DEFINITELY buy the one YOU WANT. If mommy and daddy paying, your stuck with what they want.
You can not lose with either choice, but I picked a Sedan for easy of entry to the back seat, better visibility out the rear quarter windows and a slightly better trunk.
Weight differences are minimal, they use all the same aftermarket parts.
I see more Si coupes than Sedans. The Si sedans are down right rare in LA where you see EVERY kind of car available.

I bought a sedan, just liked the look better, and I like having 4 doors, and I'm not a big fan of hatch backs.
The sedan is 60lbs heavier, but the front/rear weight distribution on the sedan is closer to 50/50 than the coupe.
But having test driven both, it's personal choice and insurance cost that really make the difference.

i have a RR coupe and i love it. i went to the dealer a while back for an oil change and they had a RR sedan with navi for right at about 22 which is a pretty good price. i sat in it and messed with the navi and what not, but the only thing i didnt like was the small window all the way up front. i know it would probably be better when its tinted, but i dont want to trade in and lose the money and have to tint the windows again, remove the intake and exhaust and what not, plus everything else that would be involved. if they would swap straight up or at least a 2 grand difference i would jump on a fiji blue sedan in a heart beat! dig the 4 doors now

the coupe isnt a hatchback...its a coupe
i think there will eventually be more sedans due to the fact that you can do the jdm conversion...since JDM is the "cool" thing to do right now...i have test drove the sedan and ended up buying a coupe...i dont know why i just like the coupe better...its all personal preference
you cant go wrong with a coupe or sedan

I chose the *four door because it's more practical, substantially cheaper insurance, (said to be) better handling, will have more support from companies like Mugen/Spoon who only have access to a sedan, and a sedan in taffy white looks oh so sexy.

IMO, I'd go for the coupe.
I have FA5 and the only thing i regret is not getting the coupe...
even though i liked the sedan better at first, the more i look at the coupe, just sportier it looks... BTW, i didn't even know the spoilers looked different between them..

If you plan on staying stock, then yeah, the coupe is much sportier. However, if you're willing to do exterior modifications, then I beleive (and I think most agree) that the sedan can look incredibly bad-***. Look at some of the JDM sedans and tell me those aren't sporty

"it has cheaper insurance? "
-Oh hell yeah! I called my insurance up before I made any decisions. They catergorize the coupe as a sports car regardless. You'll prob save over $100 a year by going with the sedan.
Also, I'm 6ft2. You get 3 inches more head room with the sedan. That was important for me (Plus what the hell am I gonna do w/ 2 doors?)
Also, the wheel base is 2 iches longer in the sedan.

i went to get a coupe, and wound up waiting for my blue 4dr to get to the dealership. the four door is more practical and the insurance is less. Im 6'3" and have plenty of leg room and head room, plus the seats move up/down and the steering wheel moves in/out, so i wasnt too worried about room and reaching the wheel.
I do like the taillights on the coupe more, and the overall appearance, but this is the only 4dr civic i've ever seen that actualy looks good off the showroom floor.

i am paying for some of the car so yeah I will be financing it with my mom so...i am getting the sedan cheaper insurance and crap. I got quoted for 19,299.48 from one dealership lowest i got so far.

not to question you, but doesn't the sedan have closer to 50/50 weight distribution?

Sedan : 60 / 40
Coupe : 61 / 39
not that much difference
