h23
This topic has been brought up MANY times. Please search on here or accoringlydone.com. There is much information on these swaps/head swaps. But yes the h23 will bolt directly on you f23 head. Your going to need a few things such as timing components, wiring, etc. Im doing a h23 head swap on a f22 so if you have any questions feel free to im me.

i understand, and thanks for clearing it out for me, but whether it bolts on or not wasn't my only question.. i asked what gains would a ported & polish head give to my f23?
Thanks
Thanks
Your stock f23 puts out about 145hp and 135 ft-lbs.
The JDM f22b DOHC non-vtec is the sister motor to the h23. The h23 and f22b both put out 160 hp up top but the f22b puts out 148ft-lbs of toruqe, compared to the h23's 156 ft-lbs of torque.
So your looking at about +20hp up top with a P&P and about 20ft-lbs down low. Assuming your using stock valvetrain components. But the only way to get a proper definate in hp and torque is to get it dyno tuned. I think theres a web site that you can see where the closest dynometer is located.
