Default painted lip, now it looks wrinkly..

I painted my front lip on my car and the paint doesnt look so smooth. I put about 4 coats of paint and the paint looks kind of wrinkly when you look at it closely. Is there any way to smoothen it out with a buffer before i clear coat it? Im not trying to sand all the paint off and start over again, lmk

Its a carbon fiber chargespeed replica front lip for a 99-00 civic. I used rattle can paint Duplicolor Silver (m)..it matches perfectly with vsm. I'm assuming i was spraying too far which made it look a little wrinkly

90% of painters problems have to do with prepwork.
if you want it done right, sand it down, prime it, THEN paint it.

My guess would be that maybe you laid it on a little too thick and didn't let it dry enough between coats? I've done that on random things before and it results in the prune-finger effect.

If you post a picture it will go a long way towards getting an answer that will help solve your problem instead of making it worse.

Quick question to the OP, how was the weather when you painted.
I got impatient the first time I painted and did it when it was about to rain. Got those wrinkles that you might be talking about.

Also I used that silver before, but it turned out a little darker after i sprayed the clearcoat. I switched to Krylon Silver Metallic 1406.

Why'd you let it flash for a hour in between coats? Wow, flash times are only max of 30 minutes.

Never use spray paint, it's ghetto.

Unless it's flat black, then it's okay...
