what are you trying to get out of the car..
if the clutch doesnt need changin keep it as is... regardless of what 99% of the E-racers say the stock one does the job just well...
depending what you want out of the car is the #1 question..
Driving school to know the car and you behind the wheel of that car...
i would go suspension/gears as a first mod

The flywheel in the car is pretty light stock. Toda and Comptech are some of the manufacturers that make good lightweight flywheels that will have a good balance job. EXEDY makes the stock clutch, and I would highly recommend one of their just above stock or stock replacements. If you dont have much more power than stock....you shouldnt need a heavy clutch, and it will just make your drive annoying. Go for a clutch with good smooth engagement and stock like qualities...this is if your OEM is worn out. Just IMO, thats the best way to do it.
Dont know much about exhaust....I dont like loud exhausts lol. So I guess someone else might field that one.

Use the stock clutch, unless you're going for forced induction.
Get a new Final Drive set, rebuild your rear end, new stock clutch, and you should be golden.

A light flywheel is a good mod if it is not too light. Comptech is gone, but Spoon's flywheel is the same 9.2lb. Also available is the Toda (8.8lb) and the Fidenza (8lb).
You might want to take a ride in a car with a single if you are considering the J's 70mm. Since you're in Jax, I'd be glad to take you for a ride so you can see how loud a single can be (I have a T1R 63mm...pretty quiet for a single).
Gears are the best mod for the buck if you are looking for acceleration. But they do whine and your fuel milage will suffer.
For an MY00, you might consider a VAFC, Greddy Emanage Ultimate, or AEM EMS tuned at Stage6 here in Jax by our own moderator, Mase. You will get a nice hp bump and better gas milage too.

gears have nothing to do with MPG.. its all TP...

x2. Some have even noticed better MPG.

Well...I just got my 4.56 gears after my diff exploded couple weeks back. And around town the mpg is about the same (of course I'm running in 6th now rather than 5th). But my hwy mpg dropped like a rock. From 30-31 to 26-27 mpg. And when I think about it...the car was running at about 4200rpm at 80mph compared to now at 4800rpm. So...higher rpm and same speed seems like it should burn more gas on the highway...no?

load and TP play a big factor.....
you motor can be working harder at 3800RPM then at 5500RPM if theres more load at 3800.....
plus im sure you get a lil more foot happy with the gears as well....
proper shift points as well...

Did you notice the S's cruise control increases and decreases the TP automatically depending on load, ie. if you're going uphill, it gives it a little gas, and backs off a little when you're rolling down.
Seriously though...my highway route to work has not changed...no hills or even over-passes. Before the gears I was averaging 30-31. After gears...same route...26-27. Driving style hasn't changed either...it's quick moving rush hour traffic so not a lot of opportunity to be aggressive.
Nishant was the one that claimed better mileage after gears. He's hiding around here somewhere. He never got close to 30mpg stock though. You and I might be the only ones. 30.6 best here, according to the counter and the pump.
haha this is true but i do long drives daily n i get the most tickets on the highway so cruise control would keep me from getting tickets
