Default Newbie Questions, help appreciated

I am coming from the european car scene and new to the whole japanese market, i am looking at purchasing an S2000 in the next couple of months and wanted to know if there was anything in paticular that i should be aware of or signs to look out for. I am looking at a couple of 05' models with about 20k miles, was there a big differance from the 04' to 05' models? I am leaving the Audi/porsche/Vw scene so i am aware of the performance that you can pull out of the S2000 but any help or tip would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dinan S/C for the 330Ci huh? lol...You're an idiot.

Things to look for? Well, its a little easier since you do have euro experience, the honda motor doesnt have nearly the issues a sports car from europe would have, even if its been beat on...and you can assure 99% of S2000's have...truely, the only thing ive ever really known to keep on eye on is service records (making sure oil was changed properly and on time) and differential issues since the S2000's is relatively weak (in the grand scheme of things anyways)...2004 and 2005 are fantastic...2006 has a (in some cases neccesary) stability controller...but with the early AP2, you dont have to really face the DBW oddness that so many complain about in the later AP2 models...

Awesome car, we absolutely loved our 2004 when we had it.

00-01 rawest S2K, plastic rear window
02-03 nicer interior, glass rear window fixed the bugs out
04-05 got a face lift, 2.2 motor, overall different model, 17'' rims.
06-07+ electric throttle, stability control, new rims.
