Default Good Tuner in Chicago

Alright here it goes. I'm looking for a good tuner around Chicago. I have a boosted B18C1 running a VAFC with RC440's. I'm going to upgrade to Hondata S300. So if you have any input it would be greatly appreciated. I've heard Dave @ Whip Factory is good, just want to do some research before I make an investment where ever it may be.

Look forward to your input. Thanks.

yeah dave is good, but they said 700 for a dyno tune on crome.

That's alot. Maybe sometime later for me.

sorry not crome, it was neptune.

I didn't fully understand what they were charging for. It seems 3hrs on a borrowed dyno, so they have to pay for that and stuff. but yeah, I don't know exactly what they hell they were charging for.

dave will most likely make you the most power

but if you want to save a couple hundred bucks go with either mark at one6 or factoryfive they will be atleast $200 cheaper if not more savings

i believe that also covers the cost of neptune. which is http://www.xenocron.com/neptune.php?page=RTP
over all it seems like a great deal. they take care of the tunning completly, that saves alot of head aches, but there are cheaper ways to go about tuning

If you want to want the best tune, and the most power go to Dave @ Whip Factory.

If you want to save money and have your car tuned for cheap, this hobby is not for you

Dave can be reached at 630-922-3327.

what's the wc? lol

all this talk of dave, makes me want to save up my pennies and call them up to really understand what they're charging for.

AMS charged my brother 185/hr. At taht rate is starts making sense, since you they told me 3 hrs, plus renting the dyno, and I guess making money for the license use of neptune and what not.

I do want the best tune, hence the reason for this thread. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for.

We deal with factory 5, here is a car they tuned for us, 7 psi hitting 300hp.

We are actually looking into cornbredtuning, they make house calls and are around $150 for a full tune, if it goes over 2 hours its $35 per hour. I believe those are roughly his rates.

I talked to one of the guys there, they seem really committed about doing good work. I will be testing them out sooner or later.
