A/C not cold
I have a 99 Accord EX and the a/c is not very cold at all. I saw a recharging kit at Wal Mart, would that work? Any other help would be great.
Also, what type of AC do I have and how would I find out?

well if you have never preformed this action before then i wouldnt recommend it. Those refrigerants from advance and walmart are not as cold as freon. you should take your car to a specialist to preform this task. if you dont know how much coolant is in your compressor and throw more in there youll be overcharged and wont blow any cold air at all. also if you bleed the system where you going to let it go , in the air , well thats illegal first of all, if you breathe it , youll die. then what type of tools do you have to recharge the compressor. they cost more than paying someone to preform the task. also its not that expensive to charge a compressor. lowest maybe 35, atmost 70 . this is something that shouldnt be preformed by a novice DIY. Another thing is just because your not getting cold air doesnt mean that your out of coolant. Be safe and get ahonda tech or someone fimiliar with hondas to check that out. you can mess your compressor up and those babies are not cheap . for your car. 600.00 new

wtf did you just say.
To the OP, you have an r-134a system. I don't think its that expensive to have a shop do it for you, and you'd be better off anyways, as they can dispose of the refigerant legally and easily

check and make sure that the doors are working properly if they aren't then your a/c won't be as cold as it should be. If climate control works properly add a dye to the system to find the leak before you just recharge the system.
