DFW - ITR's.... Autocross Tomorrow
Have to sign up at http://www.dlbracing.com/default.aspx? look for May 5th, Lonestar BMW. It is in the boonies at Mineral Wells, but should be fun, only 33 drivers signed up so far.
Guys missed out !!!
The BMW guys basically made Mineral Wells into a road course.... I was WELL into 4th gear on this autocross (I do have a 4.9FD so I think it was around 80mph). First time in my life I had to drop two gears for a turn at an autocross. Next time, I think I will leave my road race pads on the car instead of switching to my autox pads! lol!

It was the BMW club..... so they had all BMW classes and then 3 classes for non-BMW's based on engine size. Since I was on race tires, I was in the middle engine class (I forget the size).... nonetheless, I believe I placed second behind an STI with a 105.XXX time. I think he did a 103.XXX.
There was a SWEEET E30 M3 road race car..... I would love to race that guy on a road course.... I think a well prepared ITR vs. a well prepared E30 M3 would be a great race!!

You can definately see the purpose built function.

However, to me, the DC2's body has the timeless lines of a classic.
