d15 transmissions
Hi, correct me if im wrong does the 1988 DX CRX have d15b2 ? well anyway, i dont know too much **** about engine swaps and transmissions. but i'll make this short im buying an 88' crx dx (automatic) and my first plan is to change the tranny to a 5 speed, problem is i dont know what fits.
some dude at advance auto parts told me any transmission of the same engine size would bolt right on. is this true? that simple?
example: say i go to a junk yard...find an old civic with a d series 1.5 liter engine, stick transmission, could i slap that into the crx im buying? thanks to anyone that reply's

You'll need to find any other 88-91 CRX / Civic manual transmission. It could be the bad 4-speed, it could be the super fuel efficient HF, the average DX, or the sport SI. All of them will bolt on and all will share the same mounts.
