Default nitrous question

i have a quick question i have a 91 ef hatchback with a b18a1 engine in it and a 50 shot nos dry kit w/ purge kit. i dont have a wot switch installed just a switch to activate the nitrous. a guy installed it for me and said it was the easiest way to go. my purge is hooked up to a push button but the nitrous when u turn the switch on its spraying. is that bad if i spray it in 2nd and leave it on all the way down the track while im shifting and eveything? im not sure ive used it before setup the same way at the track, but i was told not to have it on in between shifts. can anyone help me with this or tell me where i kin find directions to wiring up a wot switch or push button, if its better than the setup im running now.

you dont have any kind of push button switch to turn the nitrous on/off? so you actually flip a switch when you want it on then flip it back off when your done? do you speed shift or do you let off the gas in between shifts? is it a completly dry kit with no extra fuel?

i would definitly put a wot switch on it and find out if whether your getting any extra fuel with the nitrous on.
